Brush Bot Experiment

Kids learn through experiences. They want to hold and feel things. When they see something in action they understand it better.
We wanted to give Ishaan an intro to electrical and electronics. We knew explaining anode and cathode to a three and a half year old would just go high from one ear to the next. So we wanted to do a simple experiment, that can explain the basics of electrical and electronics, but is also completely safe.
We wanted to create a Brush bot which can do some play on the ground. We used simple motor and added a brush to it. The motors creates vibrations which in turn are felt in the brush.  Here is a video demonstration of this experiment.

Here is a list of items we used in this experiment:

  • 3 Volts DC Motor
  • Alligator Clips
  • Eraser
  • Brush
  • Battery Holder
  • Batteries
  • Switch (optional)

Hope you try this experiment and let us know what you think in the comments below. Remember to always play safe.

Seed germination – Experiment for little gardeners

Plants grow from seeds. Tiny little new plants, called seedlings, grow from the seeds. This process is called germination. These seedlings eventually grow to become cute little plants. This biology experiment helps us to understand this process more practically. This curiosity enables in creating gardening as a new habit.
